Nightlife in Venice
Harry's Bar | Calle Vallaresso, San Marco
This is the bar where Hernest Hemingway and Orson Welles visited during their stay in Venice. It still serves the best Bellini in town and is situated in a very beautiful point by the Grand Canal.
Cafe Florian | St. Mark's square
This is the coffee place that Casanova visited daily during his adventurous stay in Venice. It was opened in 1720 and still works from that day on. The interior of the cafe is magnificently decorated. Nowadays you can enjoy a coffee or a drink listening at the same time to the spiritful orchestra playing classical music as well as songs that have been linked to Venice's life.
Cafe Quadri | St. Mark's square
At the Piazza San Marco the Quadri Cafe offers the cafe on the ground floor as well as the restaurant on the first floor to its guests. Highlight of the cafe is the orchestra playing known tunes and many times rivaling the orchestra of the opposite situated Cafe Florian.
Iguana | Cannaregio
This place offers Mexican dishes. You can listen to live music, dance to the wild rhythms until the first morning hours and mix up with the locals and the friendly staff.
Centrale | Piscina Frezzeria, San Marco
This is a very stylish bar in Venice. Its decoration is highly futuristic although it is housed in a 16th century building. The music is rather mainstream and the crowds it attracts highly fashion sensitive.
