Position summary

As a Senior Payment Analyst you will analyze company’s payment processing costs in order to ensure that critical controls are in place. You will collaborate tightly with other departments to ensure smooth flow of customer payments and monitor the payment acceptance rate. Candidate should be up to date with the latest scheme rules and regulations and follow industry’s news so as to be able and ensure compliance as well as propose optimizations. The role refers to the Payment & Fraud Department and reports to the Group Payments & Fraud Director.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly cost analysis and other controls with regards to payment processing costs
  • Support operational issues relevant with payment set up and payment service providers
  • Manage systems and processes with regards to payment cost settings
  • Work closely with other departments to develop the necessary processes to ensure accurate and prompt flow of information as well as provide all the necessary requirements with regards to data structure
  • Manage on boarding of new payment products/options as well as new providers
  • Propose data driven changes/improvements in current payment set up and develop new routines and processes
  • Run end to end projects that aim to increase the payment acceptance rate
  • Be up to date with Schemes new regulations as well as Payment industry news
  • Identify areas of risk and initiate ad hoc analysis to quantify risk. Propose and project manage corrective actions to increase expected benefits.
Qualifications
  • A Business, Finance or Engineering/Numerical degree
  • 4-8 years relevant work experience, with ideally 2-3 years as a payment analyst
  • Very good command of the English language
  • PC and web literate / Advanced experience with MS office (especially excel and major software packages e.g. SAP, Navision, etc)
  • Solid analytical skills and experience in analyzing and managing large amounts of data
  • Strong numerical & organizational skills combined and business thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills & ability to quickly establish key relationships
  • Project management skills & ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiatives in critical situations
  • Be proactive and result driven
  • Positive attitude and ability to convey a positive company image
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
  • Availability to travel on an occasional basis, depending on the position’s needs
